All new employees are indoctrinated before starting
any field work. They are issued training manuals,
safety manuals and are required to spend some
time in the field as a third person on a shift
(at no cost to our clients). This gives them adequate
time to recognize the hazardous tasks in their
training manuals and relate to them conditions
on the lease. We prefer to introduce new employees
to low-level activity situations while stressing
the need for them to be aware of all the conditions
that expose them to danger. This starts at their
door step.
Driving to and from work is stressed as being
the most important thing they will do in the day.
Motor vehicle accidents cost the industry a great
deal of grief, loss of production and our greatest
resource- our people. We will do all we can to
promote a safe work environment.
If we are advised not to travel on highways due
to unsafe conditions, we will not send our employees
to work. Our employees have the right of refusal.
If they believe conditions are unsafe and may
endanger the public, co-workers or the environment,
we the management will stand behind their decision
to postpone operations until it is safe to continue.
